EmpireCT was established in 2015 and is a registered BBBEE compliant business with status level 1. Based in Cape Town, EmpireCT boasts over 25 years of experience in the film, stills, tourism, and travel industries, as well as expertise in hospitality, recruitment, and project management.
EmpireCT is a family business led by Kurt Jacobs, who has extensive travel experience across Africa, Southern Africa, Europe, Scandinavia, Australia, and parts of the Middle East and Asia. Kurt and his team are passionate about people, and their dedication is evident in their day-to-day work, strong work ethic, and history of maintaining strong relationships across various industries. They bring together their qualities and expertise to provide the best possible experience, whether in film, stills, transport, tourism, or any other industry.

Kurt is not just a business leader but also a creative spirit. He is a photographer, writer, and aspiring filmmaker, always keen to form collaborations with other writers, musicians, and filmmakers. His artistic pursuits are complemented by his active lifestyle; he is an avid marathon runner, swimmer, and cyclist.
